Subject: Anyone an expert in Tower of Druaga?

Let's see if I can explain. I'm not a video game expert or anything. However, my 8 year old son is. He's been trying and trying to beat this game and he's stumped. He continually gets to floor 59 and once he completes this floor, he's thrown back down to a lower floor. He said he is supposed to get 3 pick axes collected, yet when he has one and collects another, the first one disappears. In other words, he can't accumulate the pickaxes. I'm not even sure if this is the key to being able to kill Druaga on floor 59. He seems to think it is. If anyone knows anything about this game, I'd appreciate your comments!!! Thanks!!!

I got to that point before. I can't get the jewel. If I could... I would have beaten this game twice.
