You didn't let it learn Earthquake!? You need to head back to Fallarbor Town with a Heart Scale, see the Move Tutor there, and teach it to him. Don't waste the TM on him.

Swampert:
Strength/Endeavor
Surf/Muddy Water/Double Team
Earthquake
Ice Beam

I suggest that all of these Pokémon should be at least LV 45, but LV 50 would be great. The higher the better.

You will almost never ever ever ever ever teach a Pokémon more than one attack move of the same type (Example-Don't teach it both Surf and Dive). For annoyance, defensive, etc., it's a different story.

Good tips BD. I couldn't have done it any better myself.

i dont suggest any HM moves since most of them suck (maybe except surf, but since none of elite 4 pokes are weak against water), delete tackle and strength and use more elemental attacks. train ur pokes to at least lv45 EACH.
elite 4:
Sydney: use dark types
- Mightyena (always first) (dark)(lv46)
- shiftry (dark/grass)(lv48)
- cacturne (dark/grass)(lv46)
- sharpedo (dark/water)(lv48or46 cant remember)
- absol (dark)(lv46or48 cant remember)

Phoebe: (ghost)
- Dusclops(always first) (ghost)(lv48)
- dusclops(ghost)(lv51)
- Banette (ghost) (lv48)
- Sableye (extremely weak) (Ghost/Dark) (lv50)
- Banette (ghost) (lv48)

Glacis: (Ice/Water)
- Glalie (Ice)(lv50)
- Sealeo (Ice/Water)(lv50)
- Sealeo (Ice/Water) (lv52)
- Walrein (Ice/Water) (lv53)
- Glalie (Ice) (lv52)

Drake: (dragon/flying)
- Shelgon (dragon) (lv52)
- Altaria (dragon/flying) (lv53-4 cant remember)
- Flygon x2 (dragon/ground) (lv53)
- Salamence (dragon/flying) (lv55)

Steven: (steel/rock/ground)
- Skarmory (steel/flying) (lv57)
- Aggron (steel/rock) (lv56)
- cradily (rock/grass) (lv56)
- armaldo (rock/bug) (lv56)
- Metagross (steel/psychic) (lv58)
- claydol (ground/psychic) (lv55)

i dunno if this was necessary but i hope it helps...
some1 might've had this already but what the heck

Mine are almost good enough. Mine are Blaziken lvl50, Groudon lvl 52, Exploud lvl 42, Gyarados lvl 25, Skarmory lvl 26 and Aggron lvl 43.

my team was
blaziken lv52 (black belt)
groudon lv51 (soft sand)
magneton lv51 (magnet)
altaria lv57 (shell bell)
Salamence lv51 (shell bell)
flygon lv50 (king's rock)

i think probably the hardest guy to beat at an early stage (lv<55) is drake and his team of dragons, since there are few strong attacks against them.

Guys, remember to do that and to check out Anilones's Moveset and Team Training Help sticky.

When you get there, you can press Ctrl+F to make it easier to find the Pokémon you're looking for. Can't find your Pokémon there? (Maybe because it is a FR/LG Pokémon) Look at similar Pokémon. For instance, since you can't find Dragonite, look at Salamence and the Latis. You would then know that you could teach Dragonite Aerial Ace, Brick Break, Ice Beam, and Earthquake.

Remember, this thread is not a place to just post your team to show it off. It is for tips and to help fix up teams for the Elite 4 and Steven.

In my opinion, Ice Beam is a must-have.

You'll probably have hard times without it.

You taught Groudon Dig!?!?!? Why'd you waste that on him?

Groudon would get a STAB from Dig even though Earthquake's a better move but in the game pak you have very little challenge - especially if you use legendaries.

But Dig could have been used for an Electric-type or something. Groudon could have a better move. Dig wouldn't do good on Colosseum and link battles, since a more useful move could be used. Unless you're worried about KOing your own Pokés in double battles.
