I've used a Nyko charge station for about two years and noticed that it was gradually getting dodgy as time went on. I'd have to nudge the remote a bit or place it back in the holders a few times for the blue light to stay blue for more than five seconds. Now, I can't get it to charge my controller regardless of what I do. The green LED lights will go on when I plug it in and I can get the blue light to go on after adjusting the controller a bit, but it refuses to stay blue past a matter of seconds.

Does anyone know of a charger that doesn't have problems like this?

Li ion batteries eventually die, you could try looking for replacement battery packs and maybe clean the contacts on the base.

If you're looking for a new stand entirely, I'd suggest upgrading to a inductive charger, which doesn't require contacts at all. I have an Energizer model I got for around $40 at Best Buy, and its served me well for a year so far.

From personal experiences I can say that this situation sucks. My battery packs don't stay on for more than five minutes anymore, if at all. I just went back to normal batteries.
