Oh yeah. Probably a 7 or 8 out of ten. But it won't be Grade A quality like Galaxy or LKS.

I'm surprised Gamestop has Muramasa in stores already. I just picked it up a while ago and I'm about to start playing in a little bit. I'm so excited.

Same. Gamestop breaking street date is really strange.

Anyway, I love how nowadays side scrolling brawlers are "repetitive" while playing the same dozen or so levels with the same dozen or so weapons in an online death match shooter is "awesome gameplay". Just more reason to ignore video game journalists.

Okay, let me rephrase my sentence:

Oh yeah. Probably a 7 or 8 out of ten in my personal book.
I could care less about reviewers number score.

It's because each time you play it's a very different experience. Different people, strategies, etc. Each game you play plays different so that the repetition isn't there. Same goes for any online game, like Street Fighet IV or Mario kart Wii. If you played Odin Sphere os Assassins Creed, you probably didn't go "Gee, these reviewers are wrong, there is no repetition here," you probably felt the repetition of doing the same tasks over and over with little difference.

If you want more detailed examples of how online games lack repetition just ask, I got several.

I often say reviewers are flat out wrong, and grow bored of online games after a very short time, yet love replaying "repetitive" games like Muramasa, Madworld, No More Heroes, Metroid, etc. I replay my favorite games dozens of times, even when there is very little difference between playthroughs. If you enjoy doing something, repetition is not a problem. Whether its playing the same level with the same weapons with people all playing the same way online, or slaying demons/ninjas with swords, its all personal preference. Reviewers simply view their opinions as somehow more important since they put a score at the end and have a web address, which is why I dislike reading reviews anymore. Most of the "professionals" have a completely different set of likes and dislikes to me, and often strike me as incredibly stupid when reading their opinions.

Reviews are just opinions, that's why I ignore number scores and only read the actual review for info, ups and downs, etc. I pretty much agree with your above post, I was just pointing out reasons about online FPS games aren't considered repetitive.

I just partook in the purchasing of Little King's Story.

It's like Pikmin, but without the sci-fi!

I haven't purchased a new DS game since LoZ: Phantom Hourglass back in 2007! Could someone please recommend me some good recently released/upcoming DS games.
Man, you must be really out of the loop then!

Since Phantom Hourglass in 2007, I would recommend:

Contra 4
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
The World Ends with You
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
Final Fantasy IV
Bangai-O Spirits
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Dragon Quest IV
Chrono Trigger
Disgaea DS
Kirby Super Star Ultra
Moon
Dragon Quest V
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume
Avalon Code
Suikoden Tierkreis
Knights in the Nightmare
The Legendary Starfi
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

Here's some DS games to look forward to:

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Scribblenauts
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Golden Sun 3
Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver
Okamiden
Dragon Quest IX
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth

If you can't find games for your DS, you must not be looking very hard.

Yep, because most mainstream critics cater to their average American frat boy readership that has orgasms whenever a new Madden comes out, or thinks it's hardcore since it plays the latest Call of Duty.

Well, I'm not really into all that Japanese anime stuff, so that eliminates alot of the games you mentioned.

Scribblenauts
Mario & Luigi: BIS
LoZ: ST
Pokemon: HeartGold/SoulSilver

That should be enough. Thanks!

I completely agree with this, I just find it strangely facinating as to how these people draw a line between decimals in scoring games, or using % scores to review.

But Pokemon is technically a JRPG, therefore you're clearly a closet weeaboo

Although I don't know your gaming tastes, but I highly recommend The Legendary Starfy and N+ are if you enjoy Platformers at all. Or either of the Kirby games on the DS.

This was all that appealed to me, so that's why.

Actually, they think CoD is realistic
Don't forget everything that doesn't have an M rating sucks.
And that Mario and LittleBig Planet are "kiddy" and suck.
And that graphics are the most important part of the game:

: Why would you buy the new Madden every year, it's the same game but with different players.
: But it has better graphics!
: So, graphics don't make the game good.
: Yes it does, it's the most important part!

It pains me to live in a world where these people are accepted as "gamers" yet casual gamers receive all that hate.

Ugh, I know a true hardcore gamer (she's also a girl) who only prefers Twilight Princess to Wind Waker because the graphics are better. However, she may just be trying to annoy me. However again, however, is the fact that she refuses to play 2D Zeldas, and moreover considers Wind Waker to be 2D (how that logic works I have no idea).

-The masses are idiots, it's something we have to accept.
