Subject: Half-life 1, elevators on "we've got hostiles"level

I can't seem to figure out how to use the elevators on the mentioned level, without getting killed halfway up....
Halfway up the game starts to load the next part, and then the elevator stops, while I'm pinned to the floor, and can't move.
I start loosing health and eventually die...
What's the solution, I didn't get a user manual.
It's the Half-Life Generation Collection version.
Anybody?

yeah I've got the same problem - I was going to try using the 'noclip' cheat to get to wherever the lift was going to carry on from there but I can't get the cheats to work either!

Man, ya got da Collector version!? real nice... but i dont seem toknow this part... Its maybe cause its another version...
