Mnmfan wasn't the Dreamcast released before the PS2? That was by far a bad console but it failed miserably.

Didn't work so well for the Vita. Graphical capability isn't everything, Kaz.

But Sony! The Xbox 360 came out before the PS3, and you didn't have the sense to implement party chat!

that guest user is a spy!

and yup, it's that time of the decade again. as always Nintendo is already done delivering the bulk of their hardware in the hands of the players while the folks at sony and microsoft are engaging in an epic staring contest to gain dominance over the famous money tree we call consumers..

wake me up when they are done pls.

Kaz thought MS wanna make a move first heh?.
Better not is smart call. Sony had been overtaken
by Nintendo even it's home soil and MS great in
XBL services despite it has a price. Why Sony
want to wait and "copy and paste" then?

Someone has to move first, or noone moves, if noone moves, we all gets lives outside of gaming...

This kinda thing gets me excited, and now all I need is some soda and popcorn so I can enjoy this corporate staring contest.

These boxes have been in development for years, seeing what the competitor is doing 6 months before you go into full production is meaningless posturing by company heads.

Microsoft replies back "Thanks, Like we didn't know that before? Just look at the 360, it was released before the PS3 and had better specs. Look at your 256 MB system RAM and 256 MB VRAM and then us with our 512 MB of RAM and whatever our VRAM is in our Graphic card."

Also, Why didn't they do that in this generation?

Actually no. It was 512MB of ram, period. It was just shared. It was, probably, better though. It might have been less efficient (I would think so, what with it playing see-saw with resources), but it was more flexible than Sony's method.

If this is to actually be slower than the PS3 then there wont be much reason to get it
Exept for sone exclusive games and better graphics

Id be really confused if they really do cut its speed by 10 precent compared to PS3
Same goes for the new xbox, altough that is suposed to be way slower than the PS3 still

I think Sony will take a slow pace, letting the Microsoft to show-off first, and then..Kabooom with PS4 specs....4K resolution anyone?? Too bad none of the next-gen will be backwards compatible!!!

Keep your current consoles, folks.
