well after recently breaking my video ipod ( dropped it while suffering the hastle of london travel) and not being able find the darn warranty i decided to hunt around for a replacemtnt drive on the cheap.

hunted high and low and finally found who had both the 30 and 40gb ZIF connection ipods in stock and at a low price too. GREAT!!
after chatting with there techie guys i went for the 30gb to replace my broken one and couldnt belive it when i got the drive the next day.

after checking up some tutorials on how to replace the drive 15 minutes later i had a brand spanking new toshiba drive fitted and working in my ipod.. fast too.

if the same fate befalls you i certainly recommend getting one of thse drives , fast easy to install and work a treat check em out here

good price too and very helpful and quick delivery, certainly way better than anywhere else i looked and saved me a lot of headaches over having to buy a new video ipod

I found a tutorial for hard drive installation here, but it's not a video iPod having a drive installed. I would imagine it would be the similar. I'm keeping the link up even though it could be considered advertising in some way. I think installing a new drive in an iPod is a pretty cool thing to do.
