Subject:   Ipod seems to be bricked, I didn't do anything!
-------------------------------------------
I've got an ipod nano, I connected it to itunes and was deleting some tracks off when I got a corrupted file message and all the tracks dissapeared, I ejected the ipod, removed it, pluged it back in, it showed up in itunes but still no tracks, it showed a capacity being used though, I went to my computer to copy all the files on the ipod to back it up but just got a corrupt message. I thought I'd try the update/restore tool, update said there was a disk error and restore said there was a disk error and could not continue. I tried putting the ipod into disk mode and doing it that way, still no joy. I then resetted the ipod and got a folder with an exclamation mark and a web address pointing to apple support. I've gone back to my computer and clicked on the ipod and it now just says "the disk is not formatted would you like to format it now?" Deffinatly doesn't sound good! Is there any hope for it? Can I format it and rebuild it?

Many thanks to all that help!

Jason.

Try re-installing I-tunes.

Reformat it in disk mode. Then restore. Then it should work.
