Okay. This is an iTunes question: How can I take my audio files from iTunes and put them in a form I can upload to Putfile? Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to upload the files directly from the Itunes Music File Folder.

My Documents > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music

Then just find the song(s) under the correct artist.

I think he's talking about them being in .m4a format. You can download a converter for that, just search for it on Google.

Hmm. I don't think 1GB = 1024GB. I mean at the bottom of the iPod box, it even says 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. Yeah.

It doesn't. 1gb = 1024mb, regardless of what the box says.

1kb = 1024 bytes
1mb = 1024 kilo-bytes
1gb = 1024 mega-bytes

I meant MB.

Well, I ran a quick search on Wiki and this is what came up

quote Wiki
1,000,000,000 bytes or 109 bytes is the decimal definition used in telecommunications (such as network speeds) and some computer storage manufacturers (such as hard disks and flash drives). This usage is compatible with SI.

1,073,741,824 bytes, equal to 10243, or 230 bytes. This is the definition used for computer memory sizes, and most often used in computer engineering, computer science, and most aspects of computer operating systems. The IEC recommends that this unit should instead be called a gibibyte (abbreviated GiB), as it conflicts with SI units used for bus speeds and the like.
But it doesn't really matter. The storage never really will be precisely 10GB anyway.

This is kind of out of the blue but does anyone know off a good video (specifically .mov) to audio converter? One of the podcasts I listen to started making a slidshow (.mov) file and I want to extract that and listen to it on my iPod. Free would be preferable but if you know of a real good one that would be appreciated =o.

Last time they gave all the peoples' names away, even all the intermediate winners. I guess this time the person wouldn't want their name revealed.. like lottery winners, it's sometimes a problem when it's announced in international/economic news that you just won some money and a lot of free software. That lucky person, though. I was gonna try but didn't follow it closely enough.

And when can we expect a new generation of iPods? I'm holding out for buying a newer version so I don't end up getting mine right before the next 'upgrade.'
