Subject:   iPod and iPod Shuffle - Two iTunes?!
Hey, I've been considering buying an iPod Shuffle for car rides and such, and I was wondering something:

I've had a 4th Gen iPod for a year now, and I've filled up my iTunes Library with almost 20GB worth of songs. If I was to get an iPod Shuffle, how would I manage the songs I put on there? Obviously I wouldn't be able to use the same iTunes Library... is there some sort of part of iTunes exclusively for the Shuffle that allows you more customization for the songs you put on it or what?

Thanks for your help in advance guys.

Well, you could set iTunes to have you manually update the media on your iPod.

quote Apple
]Set up your iPod so that you can manually add and delete songs.

1. With your iPod connected to your computer, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
2. Click the iPod Options button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window.
3. In the iPod preferences window, select the "Manually manage songs and playlists" option and then click OK.
4. Drag the individual songs or playlists from the iTunes window to the iPod icon in the Source list. The iPod icon will flash red and the iTunes window will show Updating iPod while it is updating.
5. When you are done, click the Eject button next to the iPod in the iTunes source list.
