I have an old but unused 60GB iPod Classic (ithink it's a classic) I can fully charge the battery but I want to know how I can test it for how long it will play on a fully charged battery and if I do the test with head phones attached will it make a difference. Thanks

You could test for battery duration by well, using it. No magical fix for that, I'm afraid.
There's no difference if you use headphones or not.

It won't matter whether you will attach headphones or not. It would be the same.

In htc it shows the battery life time in the control panel. But in the iPad it is too much difficult to find the battery timing. Settings> control Panel > Power > Battery > properties then check the the timing of the battery. If you do not see the battery power timing you just reset your phone then it will surely shown.
