IIRC, Redsn0w is better for iTouch. However, I have jailbroken my cousin's iTouch with QuickPwn with no problems, and it worked just fine.

Yes, you can still install and update apps once you have your iTouch jailbroken. What you should prevent of doing is to update the OS itself when 3.0 comes out. Most of the time you should avoid it when in a iPhone 3G phone, but still, wait for an answer from the dev team before you install the 3.0 update in your device.

So what is the different between using redsn0w and Quickpwn?

Quickpwn is more updated, if I am not mistaken. Now that I think about it, you should just use that one.

Is there a way I can prevent it from freezing when I try and Jailbreak it?
I tried earlier and it froze at the pineapple boot screen.
I then had to DFU it and restore my thing completely.
Took a few hours.

Can you tell me what iTouch do you have, when did you buy it, and what process are you doing exactly?

I believe you said you had a 32 GBs First Gen iTouch, but I just want to receive a confirmation on that part.

Oh yeah, the iTunes version you are using too.

I have a 16gb first gen iTouch.
It is on OS 2.2.1.
Not sure of my iTunes.

And I was following the instructions that are displayed during the Quickpwn.
I just tried again.
Just got to the pineapple boot screen.

Hopefully no fail.

It froze.
Again.

In iTunes, go to help -> about iTunes. You should see your iTunes version.

I need to do what exactly you are doing with Quickpwn. Because to get it working, I didn't exactly follow everything it told me to follow .

The iTunes version is important. If I am not mistaken, versions 8 of iTunes are an enemy for the jailbreaking process.

iTunes 8.1.1.10.
Oh..I see...

If I update my iTunes, will I keep all my music and apps?

You have to downgrade iTunes, not update.

Yep, you will keep everything.

So how can I downgrade my iTunes?

Uninstall the one you currently have, and install an older one. You should be able to find any version of iTunes 7 or a bit higher in google without problems.

Time to go to another level. What OS are you using in your computer? And again, how exactly are you doing everything?
