hi could someone tell me if this is a fuse or a capacitor that has blown in my daughters nano 3g, also can anybody tell me the value for this blown part aswell ?

My guess is that it would be roughly $9~19 USD, but replacing a fuse would be tough and could jeopardize any chance of being able to send the iPod in to Apple (warranty or null).

This site usually has a decent selection of iPod/MP3 player repair kits and parts, although I can't guarantee they (or anyone) will sell the internals separately.
