Subject:   Most reliable method of copying music from ipod to comp?

Hello all,

My hard drive crashed in my powerbook g4 recently and I ended up losing over 70GB of music with it unfortunately. I was being stupidly lazy in not backing it up on time, no doubt, but fortunately all of it still remains on my ipod, which I'm hoping to successfully transfer back to my powerbook once the hard drive is fixed. I have looked around for different ways of doing this over the last week and I have seen that there are literally tons of options, so... my main question is what do others consider to be a highly reliable program that can perform this task successfully? My primary concern is that there will possibly be an error that corrupts the transfer and crashes my ipod when using some of the software, so I'm hoping to see what others have used in the past that has consistently worked without problems...

Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you...

P.S. All of my music is legal, but not all purchased from itunes, and I was told that itunes will only pull off the itunes purchases when reformatting and wipe away anything that it doesn't recognize...

Any music you purchased via iTunes can easily be copied over by using the "Transfer Purchases From iPod" command under the File menu in iTunes.
