I'm sure some of you remember me, this isn't the first time I've been around. But this time, I managed to catch a snapshot of Quicktime mid-problem (By the way, this was the latest version. 7.5 something or other)

If ANYONE can tell me what this means, if it means anything at all, I'll be very grateful.

Are you trying to uninstall quicktime? If found this over on technipages:

quote Technipages
1. Click Start > Run and type %windir%\system32. Click OK.

2. Delete the QuickTime folder
Delete the files QuickTimeVR.qtx and QuickTime.qts

3. Go back into Add/Remove Programs and try to uninstall QuickTime. You should be able to now.

Thanks, but I was actually trying to INstall it. It keeps doing the "rolling back action" whenever I try. Even iTunes with Quicktime does the same thing.

Here's a support article regarding failed installs of quicktime. I also found a thread in the apple support forums that might be helpful too. They don't go over the rollback error directly but it might lead to a solution.
