my daughter connected her Ipod to my brothers speaker station and ever since then it is acting really funny.
The click wheel doesn't control anything at all on the Ipod.
I have tried to reset it.
I have tried to update software it has the latest.
If I lock and unlock the Ipod it will turn on.
Then try to move the wheel and nothing happens.
The only way to turn it off is to sometimes lock and unlock it a couple of times then it will turn off.
Other times when you lock and unlock it the Ipod will just reset.

Any Info is very much appreciated.

Try Restoring the iPod to its original settings. To do this, connect the iPod to your PC and go into iTunes. Go to the iPod menu and click the "Summary" tab, then click the button that says "Restore". Be advised that all data on the iPod will be erased, so make sure you've got copies of it on your PC or elsewhere.

I have already tried that and the same thing happens.

If it's still possible, try to get the iPod exchanged for a new one. My friend's first 5G iPod did this and we could never figure out how to fix it (so he exchanged it). If you bought the iPod no more than 6 months ago you can have it serviced (replaced) for free.

I wish it had only been 6 months.
It is over a year old already.
