I opened my daughter's game and played with a family, closed and DIDNT SAVE THE GAME thinking that everything would be OK but it erased the whole family! Can it be recovered?

No. Im sorry it's easy though to remake a family if she just started, but if she had family generations and really nice jobs she can work on that too agiain but the kids just might look diferent.

the only way to recover it is to restart fresh lol

No. If you exit and don't save of course it's going to erase it. But it will only erase your progress since your last save.

The point of saving a game is so that he data will be recovered when you go back in. Not saving it will not save the data, as is sort of the point.
So no, there's no way to get anything back since the last save.

No. If you could get it back it would defeat the object of saving anyway. You'll be able to play from where she last saved.
