You should buy it if you like racing games with weapons or if you like Jak games.

You definitely should. It has a great storyline and many things to do not just circuit racing.

I loved JAK 2 and 3, but I have been wondering the same thing about JAK X. I heard some very good things about the game, but it seems rather limited in scope, especially compared to the GTA like diversity of Jak's 2 and 3. Also, I heard thar winning races is extremely arbitrary, and no matter how much of a lead you build up, or how well you drive, that the AI could easily knock you out of the race at the very end and you could lose in the last second after being ahead the whole race.
The reviewer went on to say that it seemed very arbitrary and that you might as well just relax and try to only get ahead and win in the last second or two of the race.

The whole series is great if you crave free roaming enviorment. Now if you can STAND to be confined to one feature, then maybe not Jak X but if you play the first few games you'll fall in love with them(results may vary) and you'll get Jak X to and beat it. I didn't like it as much as the others, but I liked the whole series soooo much!
