Subject: Forum Rules & Moderator's Corner

This thread combines two threads together. Here you will find the rules of the forum and the banlist. This thread will stay open as it is also used as a Moderator's Corner.
This thread is for the people to tell me what they think of anything I've done here as a moderator. Also this is the place to request topic closures/ re-openings, post deletions and so on.
Post here if you have anything against me, if you don't like the way I do things. Trust me; I do not get offended easily. What's more criticizing would help me improve myself as a moderator.
I will also post announcements related to the forum. Mainly important changes.
IMPORTANT!
If you spot a message that breaks the rules of the site use the
report feature. The button to it is under each post and reported messages may also be removed from view if you find them offensive. All reported messages are linked from the Moderation Queue which can be accessed by anyone but only moderators will be able to see who reported a post or what a removed from view post includes.[color=#666666]This message was edited by teodortenchev on Jul 28 2006.

.:Spamming:.
- There are different forms of spam such as being off topic in a thread or making trouble in the forum by posting the same thing constantly, making that intentionally to cause problems.
.:Advertising:.
- Advertising sites on this or other Neoseeker forums is strictly forbidden. Some people understand this rule in a wrong way. It is not acceptable to advertise sites, however, you can post links to sites if they have anything to do with Adventure Quest (such as sites which contain game resources like spells / items lists), if you are asked by a user who needs help.
.:Duplicate Threads:.
- Please try not to post duplicate threads in this forum. This is only acceptable for help threads as different people can post different tips for your problem even if it's the same as something already asked. In accordance with the changes of the site policies, General Help threads are no longer allowed.
.:Behaviour:.
- Flaming - Please do not flame other people. Flaming has several meanings. You can either be in argument with someone or call him names. This can make the person feel bad and he might be hurt by your words. If you ever come across any post like that use the
report feature or PM the forum moderator, currently Teodor.Nudity: As some of you know, children of all ages come to this forum. Therefore you aren't allowed to post nudity pics or links on these forums. Nor you can use avatars/signatures and such on neoseeker since this is against the Neoseeker Forumwide Rules.
Impresonating a staff member: never attempt to post claiming you are a staff member. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable and you can get in trouble.
Pointless Posts: Please don't make any posts that don't contribute to the topic, but only say something like "Sorry, but I don't know the answer either.".
.:Memberating:.
- Requesting thread closure or telling people what to do or not do in the forum is considered memberating. Do not do this. If you see a thread that you believe should be closed, or a post that should be deleted just use the report or PM the forum moderator.
.::AQ Forum Specific Rules::.
- Asking for Guardianization - please do not ask for a free upgrade of your account. Such threads will be closed and scheduled for deletion. They have nothing to do with the subject of the forum and from my experience here everything they cause if spam.
- No asking for passwords - Asking for account passwords is not allowed and such posts will be deleted and in some cases their originator might receive a ban.
- No More 'Rate My Characer' Threads - We now have a single thread for the purpose of getting your character rated. The Global Character Rating House is located here.
- Everyone that uses any of the site's facilities should also be familiar with the Forumwide Rules of Conduct, Etiquette And Acceptable Behavior!

Feel kind of awkward being the first one to post here, but why is the DragonFable forum a sub forum? It's not an expansion pack, but a separate game. Perhaps I just missed the reason back when the forum was created.

The dragonfable forum may be a sub-forum since it is still a different game, but only a minor game made my the people who made Adventure Quest. Compared to AQ, dragonfable really isn't much. It's a minor game right now, still being upgraded and updated, not many people even go there anyways.

Neoseeker's forums at the moment are set up so that each game gets their own forum. Teodor got this one made so that, instead of showing up on the active PC RPG list, like Adventure Quest, it showed up as a subforum of this forum. Hell, we even have a Habbo Hotel, Neopets and Club Penguin forum in the PC Category, Dragonfable is more than qualified to be dropped in on it's own.

Dragonfable becoming a forum and not a subforum just means it will be it's very own forum. You know subforums

AQ: Dragonfable
Animal Crossing: Friend Codes
Sub forums are just forums related to the main topic, dragonfable is considered like a whole different game to some people, and it might be it's very own forum.
I think that's what it meant, I'm not good at this stuff, I'm no mod >.>

if they made Dragonfable an independent forum they might aswell to the same with Archknight or any other mini-games they have which are not as big as the main AQ game.
also they have the same on the Pokemon Pearl forum the sub forums are just smaller topics related to the game, such as Pokemon Battles, Pokemon Trades and Pokemon Clans.

If you want additional subforums for Adventure Quest, feel free to make a request in RFQS. I don't know what ArchKnight is. Who knows, we might already have a profile for it hovering somewhere in this category. =/

Not many people would post in an ArchKnight forum, so it'd be pointless. You can beat that game in about 10 minutes. The story of ArchKnight was continued in Dragonfable, so ArchKnight is pretty much dead now.
