Okay, so at the end of Crisis Core, Banora is this giant cave with a luminescent light and crystals everywhere.

Well I have one question: Where is this in FFVII? Something like that does not just disappear. I have a hunch it's either the Northern Cave or a generic cave you have to go through.

Your thoughts?

It's not in FFvii.
To get to that area, you have to go through the town of Banora.
Since Banora wasn't in FFvii, you can never go there.

I doubt it would be the Northern Cave because there is no town nearby.
And it won't be just a generic cave because that area served a meaning.

It's just a new addition.

Banora is actually the town genesis and angeal grew up in. It is safe to say that shinra destroyed it with all the inhabitants dead and the leftovers of the g project still there. "They destroyed it again I better say." Tseng already ordered one attack on it. stands to reason they did another.

Uh, the final cave in CC IS Banora. It's been drastically changed. If it's in CC, it should have been in FFVII as ruins first.

BigAnjoe - It may have a huge impact in CC, but not FFVII.

It's a new location, it's not in VII in any way.

Northern Cave is in the northern hemisphere, Banora more than likely isn't, considering the nature of the dumbapples and harvest time.

Harvest time can be any time of the year >_>
Icicle inn is near the northen cave...
Hmm...
Banora was destroyed, and since SE added a lot of things to it, then it shouldnt be in FF7...though we FFF(final fantasy fans) should be able to imagine such an area in FF7, i say its the area where wutai is near, just because.

Perhaps the planet healed the area that was destroyed by Shinra, and the underground dungeon caved in, while the surrounding area became...

...the Ancient Forest.

The planet only heals itself when something threatens the life stream itself (global), thus it only reacted to Jenova's crash into the planet, or perhaps the battle that ensued, or both. I doubt it'd bother with a man-made cave-in.

And yeah, I know about the dumbapples. The fact that the dumbapples can grow/seed at any time of the year means they haven't taken to a natural seasonal cycle, writing off winter's chill as a factor. Wherever Banora is, the climate must be pretty balanced for the fruit to evolve in such a way. Not that Square ever stopped to think about the science behind that concept, but when have they ever?

Why think about science when they can make it up as they go. Materia, lifeforce, swords VS guns.

The glowy light parts reminded me of the Forgotten Capital when I first got there.

And there's the fact that there's no way Zacks Motorbike could fly there.

According to the Crisis Core Ultimania guide, Banora is on the Mideel continent. (I'll find a source for that later)
In FFVII there's one hidden cave on the continent (the Quadra Magic cave), so that might be the Banora cave.
But the actual village (or rather, it's ruins) didn't appear in FFVII.

Ah, I was thinking it might be that town you can go and dig for treasures, there would probably be a lot of treasures under Banora considering how important it was.
