Actually he's the reason it was even close. Durant played like shit tonight and the team was a collective 1-17 from the field. In case you didn't notice, the 4th quarter is when they actually came storming back to make it a game.
He played alright in the 4th but the Thunder were down by 20(?) for a large portion of the first half. Most of that was because Westbrook was just putting up shots. The Thunder seemed to play really well in game 2 when Westbrook was on the bench. Coaches observe things like that. Maynor should be running the point. Westbrook is more of a 2 anyway. He's just stuck in a number 1's body. Westbrook dropped 30 but only had 4 assists. That tells you everything right there. He wasn't running the offense efficiently. Kidd had a better game than him and he only had 13 points.

Not to mention, Westbrook has the highest turnover rate among anyone in the playoffs and by a large margin.

It's them TNT commentators than can go suck one. Always talking shit about the Heat, never acknowledging them even when they get the W. Instead of talking about what the Heat did right in the postgame commentary, they talk about what the Bulls could have done to win it. What will Chuck say when the Heat take it all? LET'S GO HEAT!

The entire team other than Westbrook was total balls, Matthews. Perkins shouldn't be on the floor against the Mavs at all (they're literally like -45 with Perk on the floor in the series) and Westbrook had few assists because no one was making any shots for shit yesterday.

Not denying he's more of a 2 guard, but he can run the offense efficiently and does so a majority of the time. A team doesn't average over 100 a night if its starting PG can't run the offense efficiently. You can't ignore that Maynor wasn't the only difference in game 2. The entire bench unit played (with Durant), so putting it all on Westbrook makes no sense at all, especially considering that bench unit was completely ineffective today.

Maybe I'm being hard on Westbrook.

It just bugs the shit out of me when there is consistent poor decision making done by the PG. And Westbrook did a lot of that during the Memphis series and has had his fair share so far this series.

You aren't being too hard on Westbrook. He's not a true point guard and that is hurting the team. I think he could be fine as an under sized two guard. The Thunder just need someone to be a distributor so Westbrook can't throw up irresponsible shots.

Again, the team has zero issues on the offensive end of the floor (unless everyone goes ice cold like they did the last game). Right now he hurts the team in crunch time but only because Durant isn't quite selfish enough to demand the ball from him like he should, but that should change and he should grow to learn his role a bit more as he progresses. This team is damn young, pretty much none of the guys has really established themselves in their roles fully. What really hurts the team most is the fact he's not as good a ballhandler as he thinks he is (or should be). He tries to run with the ball like he's Rondo or CP3 but he doesn't quite have that skill level.

When they showed the OKC bench during that one timeout, they just looked completely demoralized. They were stunned. Dirk is a beast. That shit was awesome to watch.

I didn't expect this series to be over in 5.

I think Dallas realizes this is probably their only chance they have left to win it all. Then combine that with the Thunder's inexperience and you have what's in front of you.

Can Dallas please beat Miami? Clearly they're the only team left with any mental toughness, the most important attribute for winning in the playoffs. As an Orlando fan, I can't comment on it directly but what Dallas did tonight surely must qualify. Can Boston or LA fans confirm for me? Mistake free basketball is great to watch.

We thought so in 2006.
