I just passed World 7-6, but it did not open anything past that. What am I supposed to do? Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing? Thank you!

How do you get to world 7 because I finished the game and I realy want to go onto world 7 and world 4 but I dont no how to get there

u need to beat the world 5 boss with mini mario.
to get to world 4, u need to beat the world 2 boss with mini mario.
open world 4 and get the warp cannon to world 7 (alternate method)
Finish world 7-6 again, u might have only done the secret flagpole or something.

Good luck. Oh yeah, and if ur having problems with not enough mushroom houses to get items for star coins, forget the coins, instead defeat every boss (beat the castle stage of all worlds) doesnt matter if u didnt go to every course on the worlds. After that u get unlimited mushroom houses. Cool huh?
