I know that the CD-Rom must be in your first drive in order to play single player.

i have had this game for abaout two years and havnm't been able to play it cuz the cd key wont work!
i've sent an e-mail to interplay and they havn't responded in over a week so i'm at the end of my rope here!

I have Starfleet Commander 1, and I was able to run it on XP, but I am unable to save any game files or campaigns because the game will not acknowledge keyboard imput. Is there any way to fix this?

I recommend finding and updating your game's patches, but other than that, off the top of my head, I can't think up a fix.
