Check this out:
http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2007/08/06/shenmue-online-cancelled-shenmue-3-not-happening-as-segas-franchise-dies.htmYes very very bad news indeed, but to be honest im not going to take that news as fact because it is not directly from sega's mouth, its from Kiziko, who have got stuff wrong in the past. I wont believe anything unless its in the form of an official statement from Sega themselves. (same go's for when i see news storys confirming shenmue 3 etc. no point getting any hopes up unless its from sega IMO)

Your link isn't working

Anyway, I thought that Shenmue Online was in limbo, but not confirmed as officially dead? Not that limbo is much better..

Just an odd update about Yu Suzuki in general since it relates to the game:
quoteAt the time, Jeffery noted of Suzuki: "He's kind of his own man right now. Every now and again, he'll come up with an idea, and I don't think anything has come out of that yet, but we're still working with him. He's not an employee anymore..." -- adding when Gamasutra asked for clarification on whether he was employed at Sega, "not as far as I know."
"I can safely say that Yu Suzuki is in fact still a Sega employee," said Jeffrey in a corrective statement made to Gamasutra today, adding that Suzuki "...is a Creative Officer of Sega Corp."
Suzuki has largely been under the radar in recent years, famously working on Shenmue Online in China for a number of years, and heading a prototype-only arcade title called Psy Phi for Sega in 2006.

*Note: The first quote relates to the original interview where he talks of Suzuki being off and about, if you read the full quote in the first interview he talks about Yu Suzuki being in China working on items.
The rest is limbo as usual though for progress and etc.
