Who here has memorized what types are strong and weak against one another?
If you see a pokemon sent into battle, do you know what type it is without having to use some form of source?
I know everything when it comes to a pokemon with just one type. If we are dealing with a pokemon with two types, and it's two types combined that I'm not familiar with, I usually need to go to serebii to find out what the pokemon's weakness are.

Yes and usually.
I think the fact that type setups haven't changed since Gen 2 helps when remembering what works against what. As for pokemon themselves, I'm pretty good at recognising their types. Obviously it can be a little harder with the most recent generation as I've had less playtime to remember them but I think I'm pretty good with those too, even with the unusual type combinations.

It's actually pretty uncommon to see me send out a Pokemon with a type advantage. Usually I ignore it and try to use a Pokemon that needs a levelling up to be equal to the rest of my time.
I do know the type advantages etc. but occasionally I forget Pokemon types. ;-;

You mean people can forget what types a Pokémon is?
How'd you people manage that?
The only thing I can never remember for some bizzare reason is how Poison and Bug react to hitting Fighting and Ghost.
Honestly couldn't tell you where the resistances and neutralities are during those match ups if I wanted too.
Otherwise, you name a Pokémon of any types outside that mess and I'll tell you how every single type reacts to it.

Poison attacking Fighting: Neutral
Poison attacking Ghost: Not very effective
Bug attacking Fighting: Not very effective
Bug attacking Ghost: Not very effective.
Now that I have told you, you will remember due to your undying love for me.

Yes and yes. I know every basic thing about Pokemon, so if you give me a Pokemon quiz about this, I'd probably ace it.

Dude you can send any Pokemon into battle and I can tell you everything typewise about it just by the sound it makes.

Unless it's Arceus.

What if it's Rhyhorn or Slowbro or any of those other Gen 1 guys who share a cry?

I never did specify "what its cry sounds like", just "how it sounds". Attacks make noises too.

Pokemon that learn Confusion trick me. Same with Pokemon of a single type that evolve into a Pokemon with a double type. I forget they don't have the double type. 3: Also Water/Ice types, I forget about the Ice till they hit my Grass type with Ice Beam. Stupid Lorelei. >:

You could send any 2 Pokémon at the same level out into battle. I could tell you who should win, what type advantages are there. If it's move(s) will be .5x, 1x, 2x, or 4x effective, etc. I know everything there is to know about Pokémon battles. I never cared for the workings of EVing and IV's because I have no interest in the metagame, but yet I know far too much about those as well.

I hate how every water type learns ice moves cause I never expect them to know ice moves and they always get me. Mainly later on in the game, but still.

I think I know most of them but sometimes I randomly forget what type is good or bad on what. ;-;
When I'm training my Pokemon I don't care about type advantages, like sometimes I avoid certain types so the Pokemon I'm training doesn't faint.

The only type advantage I can remember is that Normal is really normal. It can't be supereffective against any type.
That is sad.
