Subject: Classics Thread - 2004 or Before!

- Seeing as most of the older Pokemon forums are pretty much desolate, Aether and I thought it would be a nice idea for the General Forum to have a thread where everyone can discuss their favourite Pokemon games of old. ^^
By classics, we mean any Pokemon game that was not initially released on the DS, 3DS or Wii. (: We feel that this leaves a wide enough scope for all the less discussed games to be remembered. ^^
Feel free to talk about anything you enjoyed from these generations or discuss what you're currently doing in your copies of the games. If you even have any questions about anything in a game, don't be shy to ask. (:

As for me, I'm currently doing a playthrough of Fire Red seeing as my copy of Blue has disappeared. 3: I decided I'd play through using all the Pokemon I've never bothered to use. My team is currently Charmeleon, Parasect, Cubone, Fearow, Poliwhirl and Clefairy. I'm not going to lie, I'm finding it so tough. x3
I'm also so tempted to go buy a GameCube controller and a copy of Colosseum. Never played a console Pokemon game.

Colosseum is okay, but if you want a really good game for Gamecube, get Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. That is my all-time favourite Pokémon game.

Yeah, XD: Gale of Darkness is my 2nd favorite Pokémon game of all time. :3
I also like the starters on it, and I love my purified Lugia on my Black. ;D

Ive got Silver, but I barely use it now that I have HeartGold, Diamond, White, and Explorers of Sky...
I have beat the game on Silver and I will get Emerald soon.
I heard that it is a really good game. I can't wait till it comes!

Thinking about picking up Pokemon Stadium 2 again. I still need to unlock Round 2.
I miss Colosseum. Love that game to death.

I prefer XD over Colosseum, but you definately need to play both.
And this was the best character ever.
AND THE BEST THEME TUNE FOR ANY CHARACTER IN ANY GAME. EVER.

I loved Silver and Red, wasnt a big fan of the console games, but then again ive never played XD... guess im just one for classic gameplay lol. I was so confused when i heard about EVs and IVs because i was used to in game domination from Red, Silver and Gold.

just started a new game on one of my two pokemon yellow games =3 i have gold silver and crystel i could play when im done but im sure i will be tired of saving in between boxes by the time i finish and will just finishy my play through of pearl

Ahh, ok.
Just the other day I tried a sample of Crystal, and I think that it is a much better game than Sliver. I think they should have made a remake of it for the DS along with Silver and Gold.
Well I havent tried the whole game yet...
