Subject: Sending the Empress

After sending the empress to the present how do I follow her? The vortex looks like its working but nothing happens when i step into it. If I go to the map and then back to the normal scren the vortex is gone. All the buttons are already depressed and you can see the sand falling down to the floor, but no vortex. I took the game back and exchanged it with another one and the same thing is still happening. Am I really unlucky or am I just missing domething obvious?

Its probably a glitch - once you've sent her in, the hole behind you that leads back into the Throne Room should be covered with rocks and you have nowhere left to go but into the portal.

So wot's the answer? I'm stuck in the same place. Nowhere to get out, no buttons to re-activate the portal. Is this the end, my friend? If it's a glitch, wot a bitch! All this way and no way to finish. If there's a solution let me find it, but if its a glitch in the software, I need to know.But no cheats.
