Subject: Stuck in limbo?!

After Karina drives away with me defending the car, the car stops.
I then defend the car until she gets it restarted. After that we drive away again. I defend the car, but suddelny she's lying on the ground and nothing happends! If it's "game-over" because she's dead the game should tell me that, but nothing. I can walk around, but not get any further.
What to do???
And, how do I save the game at the point I'm at? Has been forced to start all over again twice now. Tried both "overwrite" and "play".
Pls help me!
