The Corsair Hydro H80 promises to bring the easy-to-install, all-in-one water cooling seen in the H60 to new levels with new and improved components, including a beefier radiator. See just how well it performs compared to both its predecessor and the competition in our latest liquid CPU cooling review.

Pretty beastly performance there. One thing that would put me off is the noise, and considering I leave my computer on whilst I sleep, it'd be an issue for me.

Yeah, the fans can get really loud. They are extremely quiet though when set at the lowest RPM and the cooling performance is still really good.

I only saw mention of monitoring software. What kind of stats and control are you given through it? How about auto fan speed so you don't need it running full blast when the cpu is idling.

Probably not. We would like to, but if Corsair was going to send a H100 they most likely would have send both the H80 and H100 to us together.

We would like to review on though.

The software is not available yet, but it does allow the user to control the fan speed.

Do you think it is because Corsair hasnt shipped the H100 yet? 2 sites have it for sale but not in stock 3-4 week delay.

It's a possibility. I will try to send in a request to Corsair and see if we can get one. I would like to see how it compares to the H80.

I was just informed that a H100 is headed this way, so expect a review in the next few weeks.

Looking forward the review. Hopefully this will have a lot better performance than the others to justify the cost vs air coolers.

If this thing performs like i think it will. I will have a brand new Noctua nh-14 to sell. lol.

Nice review, NeoSeeker. I have an H80 sitting right in front of me right now. Peeked at the h60, h80, and H100, and the H80 seems to $$ for the H100. I need cooling, using an 8 core FX-8150, so this is coming at the right time for me.

I'be glad to give a report on its use in the real world. My system runs hot when backing up Drive C: (Velociraptor 600GB) using Acronis, which grabs 100% of all eight cores and overheats (65C) roughtly halfway through the backup (65GB) using the stock air cooler.

I'm hoping to get that down a bit with the H80. Looking forward to it! I'm also upping the CPU from the 8120 to the FX-8150, using 4x4GB 1866Hz Corsair Vengeance DDR3 and a GTX580 SC. Object: To get to do quick video rendering work, along with digital music in the studio here. Adobe.com certifies the GTX580 as being able to be "borrowed" during rendering operations for Prem-Pro.

If anyone wants to hear how it all turns out, drop a pm!

Rick
