Before it was said if you posted you would have to increase the speed if you updated.

Well either way so long as it's safe then I guess I'll post to give everyone else a chance to kick me

I don't really understand why the rules keep changing. When someone finds an angle that'll be good for whatever is decided it should be good for, let me know. I've never heard of older cpu's not being so overclockable. I think that people just don't have the hardware to support the overclocks they want to do. Let's see some pics of rigs people are oc'ing with and cooling setups and mobo models. Stamps in his rig at 4.635ghz on super pi and calls it a day, probably having wasted several hours for 20 points.

I want a neo sticker slapped onto the flash drive. Slap a neo sticker on all the prizes too while you're at it.

I'm not sure, you'll probably get a choice in which one you want though. I think its just one style on a black or white shirt.

Oh, and I still don't get how you win the prizes. Its like the first place winner will get x item then we'll have a kind of raffle for the other prizes?

@Ultra

I'm trying to get a prize to give to the winner. If I'm unable to do that the winner will be allowed to choose a prize. The rest will be randomly given through a drawing.

@Gravity

Some of the rules weren't finalized. The reason the OC score changed is because some people thought including the OC % would be unfair. In a later competition we may include that again.

Ultra, it would be like putting everyone's name into a hat and drawing a name randomly to win a prize. Everyone will have the same chance to win something.

Yeah, some people would have only gotten a few hundred points or around 2000 points while most of the people with the already fast processors and higher overclockers would have gotten several thousand points. It was like rewarding the people who already had a good chance to win in the first place by giving them a lot more points.

Well, I've found that I'm getting lower scores with some of the higher clocks I'm using.

I don't know if I can do the overclocking - Thought I'd have ordered my V8 by now, but I can't yet :\

I'll probably have to wait until about Friday to order it...

i noticed that too, but i decided to submit the highest clocks i could get. if youre getting close to instability, i think the performance will decrease a bit.

Anyone here familiar with ATI Tool for overclocking? It appears to be the only way for me to overclock my desktop via software but I can't quite figure out how to get it to actually overclock my system.

Where do we add in the overclocking percentage? I like the handy dandy program at the top of the thread, but where's the OC % equation? Just trying to figure out my score.

Finally got my system to overclock from 2.1ghz to about 2.33ghz (used NTUNE). I got it to 2.5 but it blue screened after about 5 seconds lol.
