Another week, another motherboard review. This time it is the Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P.

Nice review. I looks at both boards and it seem that if you want the Cross-fire or SLI ability, then this board would be nice for 2x cross or SLI. Other than that, I would go with the cheaper cousin MA790XT-UD4P since it has very similar capabilities. The cheaper cousin also does cross-fire/SLi, but it will have to do it at 8x speed instead of the 16x speed on the expensive board.
For me, I'm cheap so I like the cheaper board better (since I know I'll probably never do cross-fire or SLI).

YA this board looks pretty good.

For myself, 2 PCIE is certainly enough. Most people I'd say only need 1 slot. No one really needs 3 slots. Getting three video cards isn't really that great of an idea, I'd say. Unless you are building a Folding farm, anyways. Certainly not for the added potential game performance.
