Subject: Cannot start the game

I downloaded H&D Deluxe and installed it successfully but I canīt start the game. When I start the game I get only a screen with a text "select your profile" but there is no possibility to select any - I havenīt made any profile because I canīt! According to help file, it should ask me to create a new profile, but it doesnīt. The screen has not any other selectable points except the "back" button. When I click that, I get a text "Exit game" but no any other text or buttons. Has anyone some ideas?

Having the same problem here. Strangely , anywhere you go , you can't find any resolution to this. No answers , no nothing. Honestly , it's pissin the hell outta me. It's like no one notices this problem but it's been mentioned numerous times on any H&D forums. I wana play this game man my dream cast is totalled and i miss this game.

got a similar problem here too. I donwloaded and installed the hddeluxe; when the game starts, i cant see any of the menu buttons, so i cant start playing.

This may work.
Go here - http://hd.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/files.htm
Download the HDDeluxe savegame file. After you download the savegame file, extract it in your HDD directory under folder "savegame". Now, when you start up HD you will see the saved game file marked as "stefan". Select it and you should be in business!
Please let me know if this works. If not, Ill find another way for you all.

It worked, but now there is no text in the game. At all.
*sigh* So nice of take2 to give us a broken game.
Take2: Hey guys, have a free game!

i had the same problem before but try clicking on the safe mode option to load up the game.
it's now working for me.
