i am at the part where they are trying to steal the huge materia at junon
And i am at that boss battle that reno left for me
ANYWAYS
what the heck is going on?
I barely understood clouds subconscious, like was the plot twist supposed to be, Cloud was lying about being in soldier the whole time..? Why did he forget that he was not in Zacks place?
Cloud said "the weak ones get caught up in it all, it was nothing to do with jenovas reunion."
WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT
Also, i dont get the whole sephiroth thing
The sephiroth they were after during the whole game, and the windmaze, Tifa goes "You mean THAT wasnt sephiroth??"
Then Cloud is like, the real seph is up ahead, ill explain later.
So where did that sephiroth go? Whats with the sephiroth that was in the ice?
Is that the sephiroth that Cloud killed 5 years ago?
I also do not understand Tifas dream when she was in the coma in junon
Where she was talking to cloud at the sector 7 train station?
Shes like saying it was 7 years..?
sorry if none of this made sense..
But i just want to understand and love this game
I loved it at the begginning, and ever since Aeris was killed by sephiroth, i havent liked it as much
It has become harder for me to understand
If you guys understand my questions, please please answer them and enlighten me

I'd advise putting a spoiler warning in the topic title. That said...
SPOILERS AHOY!
Sephiroth reveals to Cloud that he never returned to Nibelheim when Sephiroth's team went to investigate the reactor. As shown by Sephiroth, Cloud's memories of the incident appear to be those of someone else, a revelation which is made worse by the fact that Tifa can't assure Cloud that he was really there. Sephiroth tells Cloud that he was a clone that was created by Shinra and given false memories. Cloud tries to remember when he joined Soldier, but fails to do so and begins to have a breakdown. Get a little further and your questions about this aspect of the story will be answered for the most part.
The real Sephiroth, who you saw at the crater, somehow ended up in the lifestream and had managed to gain control of Jenova through the strength of his will after the events of Nibelheim. Using Jenova's body (from Shinra HQ), he made a clone in his image and manipulated Cloud into retrieving the Black Materia for him, though Cloud thought that he was willfully hunting down and stopping Sephiroth. If you watch the tapes from Professor Gast's house in Icicle Inn, you'll see that this is similar to Jenova's method of operation.
The real Sephiroth's goal is to summon Meteor and have it critically wound the planet. When this happens, the lifestream will gather at the damaged area to try to repair it. By being at the heart of this location, Sephiroth believes that he will become omnipotent.
