Subject: what the hell am I supposed to do?

I have a problem with a specific mission in AN1, It's the first mission when you reach Neopolis. I'm supposed to keep the rebels away from this data-broadcaster. But whatever I do I get bombarded by EMP cannons and my mission failes.
Can anybody help me with this?
It's really anoying me

Blow up the tubes to the broadcast station .I used a bull torpedo on each tube
