Someone in the "connection" thread mentioned getting Choko as a sidequest. I was just wondering how to do that and if someone could give me a little step-by-step thing, that would be great.

Hum... worked to me after i defeated Andel, but i'm 100% sure that you can do that without killing him, i think that you need to see the animation that Monji revive and don't enter in Serya.
I was stucked in the same part too, i simple entered in the florest with Choko and go one map above, she alread reach the vilage and you will see the church part.

I want to know the real deal about getting Choko. All I can find is "and I think that maybe..." or "And possibly you must....or something like that..."
I did not get Choko in Arc 1
I have not yet defeated Andel in the South Pole Tower
My Choko is Lvl 60
After the entire event where everyone turns into slimes and I run to the graveyard. I defeat the glowing monument. Then, the party returns to the city (what is this I hear about the city being burned down?) Choko's father tells the party about Choko, then I see a scene in the graveyard where Akura appears over the broken monument and says "At last, the time has come. Time for revenge"
After this, I see no scene in the church or any other building for that matter. After I leave the forest, I am no longer able to return to the graveyard or the village.
When I go the the forbidden ruins, Choko shows a secret passage on the outside of the ruins that leads directly to lvl 50 of the ruins. The corpse in the throne is still there and I cannot move the throne.
Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong? I really do not think (I hope) That you must get choko in Arc 1 to have her in Arc II. In Arc 1 Choko is barely a character like Fu-Jin or Ra-Jin.
...I may just need to defeat Andel as well, but I would like to know.

Well, my friend and I have now done the Choko side quest except we found out you do have to defeat Andel at the tower to get to the lower parts of the Forbidan Ruins... argh... And does anyone know how to get the RED SHOES if you missed them in the battle in the town?

Sounds to me like your file is corrupted. My friend and I are playing through Arc the Lad collection. We got Choko on Arc 1, but never leveled her up. After getting her in Arc 2 she flew up in levels and power. You might want to consider starting over sorry.

in my arc 2 game, unlike in arc 1 choko is really weak. when she's around level 50 his offense and defense is just is just 10. she has 20 magic and an amzingly high 56 agility. what i mean is choko really that weak in offense and defense? or there might be something wrong in my file? because when i checked out the arc 1 file that i used for converting in arc 2, when i summoned choko using chongara the game freezes. It dosen't happen to any other monster like Kelack.

Most interesting. Choko is one of the more useful characters in the game, so don't be afraid to put some effort into leveling her up. I can't really comment on the blank stats thing since it's been ages since I've touched the game, but even then it'd be hard to say what could be wrong if we can't see what you're talking about!

In Arc 1 when i got choko i trained her to level 40, but when i convert the game and got her in Arc 2 her level,HP and MP are blank! as in nothing's written on her stats! does it mean i have to level her up again!? also her stats seem a bit low when she leveling up. When she's at level 42 her attack power is only 8 (w/o equipment) Is it really like that?

b]Note: I think you need to defeat Andel in that tower battle first before you can accomplish this sequence of events.[/b]
I think that's how it goes. If I've made a mistake, please don't hesitate to correct me, completing this side-quest adds immensely to your enjoyment to Arc II!!!
well, i was able to do the choko side quest, well not the whole damn thing, but the part where the townspeople turn into slimes, i did that way before i've even fought andel, sooo.... just check back with the forest from time to time. Anywho....just thought i'd say so if people want to know....
