The best I know of is the Daedric Tower Shield. I would love to be corrected!

Mine would have to be my : Exquisite Amulet of Archery( constant effect summon Daedric long bow on self... weighs less then a pound and practically indestructible... AKA unlike "normal" bows this baby *NEVER* has to be repaired ... plus the bow itself once summoned has nifty ten point boost to my marksman skill lol ), Boots of Icarian Flight ( constant effect levitation 5 points on self, made'em from Adamanteum boots lol good for a long trek when ya don't feel like fighting), and my Shadowform necklace( constant effect Invisibility on self).... oh and my Blade of Nocternal(poison dgm : 5points for 8sec + paralyzation 10sec lol made it out of a Daedric longsword ).

No, Auriel's Bow, and Shield are Artifacts, but they still can be enchanted, but most of the Artifacts are enchanted, but some are not.

Yes, but even though they have enchantment values, they can't be enchanted, because they are already magical.

But on UespWik, it shows the enchantment of every item even the Artifacts.

Technically the unique items don't have any enchantment points as they are already used up by the enchantments placed upon them.

Enchantment point are basically what governs how much effect you can put on an item. The bigger the points, the more powerful or the more amount of effects you can put on.

Which although you are correct in stating that the unique items have more, the whole topic is asking the best item to enchant...which means unenchanted items that can be enchanted. Since unique items already have enchantments and they can't be removed, then they can't be used.

Well that is depending on which, it holds the most Un-Unique Enhnatment, but Lord's Mail, Ebony Mail, Dragonbone Cuirass[Possibily], Helm of Omeryan Bear Claw [Possibily], Masque of Clacious[Possilbily], Boots of Blinding Speed - BOBS.[Well I don't know if this is an artifact, but certainily has a high enchnatmet and also possibily higher enchantment than a Daedric Tower Shield] Boots of Aspostle [Possibliy], Dwemer Boots of Flying [Possibily] and Fists of Randagulf Gauntlets [Possibily]

Some or maybe all of these Aritfacts may have more enchantment then a Daedric Tower Shield, just a Daedric Tower Shield just has the most enchantment of all Un-Unique].
I don't know excactily what echantment is, I know that a Dragonbone Cuirass has an enchantment of 1,000.
Check UespWiki it shows the Enchantments of the Artifacts, and it won't have G.o.t.y. on that sie so just check out all the expansions.

i agree with random, the scimitar, and its usual owners armor are some of the best things to enchant. not just for their high pointage, but also the fact that the guards that are wearing them respawn, unlike daedric. although, if you're like me and just summon/soultrap golden oldies {saints} you can get a bootload of tower shields , i have over 100 in my morrabode.

a great sword for enchanting is the ebony scimitar, holding i believe up to 80 enchanting points.

I hate that you find a good wep or a kick ass set of armor and want to give it a good enchant....but it has like 15 enchantment or some crap like that.

bummer. bethesda shouldve made the armors have a higher enchantment. glass is my favorite set out of the game and i cant enchant because the enchantment is so freaking low.

yup everyone knows that. It holds 225 enchantment points with the rest of the daedric items holding around 75 enchantment points

The best weapon to enchant is the ebony staff with 90 enchantment points
