He's right. Ultimecia creates ultimate GF on some model. She investigated Squall and learned that his symbol of strength is pendant he wears.

not possible ultimecia trys 2 sacrifice rinoa in disc 1 + griever is there because he is the strongest gf and squalls symbol ultimecia sees this and uses it against him check counter R=U theories on you tube

Still going strong by the look of it. Thats the main reason I love final fantasy games, its all down to your own perceptions and beliefs, anyone can take any story in any way they like its all relative.

I personally find the squall is dead theory to be better and it explains everything quite well

The theory im saying is only that Rinoa in a alternate universe (timeline) and for the accepted parts of the game while possessed by Ultimecia in which she unlocks Adel's tomb (and other parts possibly) I havent played FF8 in a long time so dont quote me

lol I don't visit this forum enough to put up a serious argument but:

the reason y ultimecia doesnt remember being rinoa is because of junctioning GFs.

anyone who beleives the r=u theory doesnt care what square says, the proofs in the game not the literature.

ok maybe i'm an asshole...or maybe i am really dumb or something but..

first: that Rinoa = Ultimecia theory got so deep that you guys made Squaresoft release the info that no, Rinoa was not in fact Ultimecia, and that the only connection between the 2 is that they are both sorceress, that's about it, nothing said about descendents though ^^

second: if Rinoa was Ultimecia....wouldn't it be like a little bit.....STUPID for her to fight herself in the future? it would make no sense....since there are no clones in Final Fantasy...how the hell could she be fighting HERSELF? makes no sense...i wonder why no one ever thought of that (at least i havent seen people saying it but...whatever).

Well what i think is so great about Squaresoft's games is, ones like this could have many theories. So in reply, I'd say:

No Rinoa is not Ultimecia (in this game reality, or GR) In an alternate reality (AR) Squall is Rinoa's night and she is a sorceress. But in GR during Time Compression (GRDTC) all realities converge. This means that all possible possession victims of Ultimecia exist on the same plane (Adel/Edea/Rinoa), and that Squall is Rinoa's Knight as evidenced during the Ragnarok Scene.

Under my theory, all versions of Squall and Rinoa converge, making Squall think this (The Turning Point is when he finds out she loves him.)

When Ultimecia dies, all alternate realities are still there.

It just is very difficult to tell whether or not the alternate realities will come to pass in the Game Reality.
