At first, he is obviously following orders like all other soldiers in his team to find Freeman and eliminate him. However as the game progresses does he start to see that Freeman is innocent and this mission is wrong to be doing?
Or does he still wish to eliminate Freeman by the end?
Or is it that near the end he realises he needs to do all he can to save himself and escape? (so eliminating Freeman isn't his priority anymore)

Freeman is a good guy and they didn't steal anything from xen. Apparently a guy called Gordon Frohman (the irony) accidently switched the test piece for cheese (he really dumb ) and thats how the creatures from xen came.

As for G-man, well... not much of an explanation there... unless you've played Half-Life 2, you wouldn't know that that G-man is evil...

Is Freeman a good guy? He's a black mesa scientist, and those people caused the attack in the first place by kidnapping aliens, stealing stuff from Xen, etc.

Is it even possible to kill the security guards/scientists? I tried once towards the end and they guy didn't die. He just whined about being shot at.

We can all have different opinions, it really doesn't matter.
But the main reason I started the thread was to find out if anyone or many people agreed that he was either one or the other..

Good point.
But its sorta what the game player wants to do or does.
Like Rabsh says, if I was to actually kill the scientists and security I met along the way, I'd really be bad..
But if I play the game properly and talk and try to save them, or help them...then I'm good.

I would say that while he is on the other side, he is a good guy. He doesn't go around killing the scientists and security guards like the other soldiers do.
