I'm at the part where you sneak and overhear Mazaddha's and Nelrene's convo but there is no convo. They go there, stand there for a few hours and walk off?

I tried everything & none of these work except one. The meeting finishes at 4am. At 4am the moment the male cat m'whateverhisnameis steps away from her run out from behind the crates and start a dialogue. He says "there is nothing going on here" and it puts your quest to the next phase. So be behind the crates wait till 4am then run out. once hes got to the steps and started going up it wont work son catch him the moment he steps away

i got ps3 and had the same problem, the would not talk. I was frustrated until: When Ma'zaddha comes out from his house on his way to the meeting place, i sent a fire spell on him thatt didn't kill him, when a guard came to arrest me, i payed the bounty and proceeded to the meeting, and they began talking. Hope this helps the rest of you.

I cannot get this to work either. I've tried more than ten times now, standing in different positions. The first time I tried, they noticed me so I had to wait. Since then I've always sneaked. I've tried hiding under the stairs, on the ledge at the top, right next to the two, a few metres away from them, NOTHING WORKS! They always just stand there until about 4am and then walk off.
What's going on and how do I fix it?

Easy. Simple. Quest. They ledge above them/behind them, go up the wooden ramp and go into Sneak Mode. SAVE YOUR GAME! Then wait until midnight or the right time, can't remember. Then walk slowly up to the rail WHILE SNEAKING! And you should over hear their convo. If Heider is the one getting you caught then, Sneak attack him to knock him out for the time being, he can't get you caught if hes out cold. Both these worked for me. I got caught the first time cause Heider glitched through a wall or sumthing. The second time I Sneak attacked him and hid behind the ldege, while they talked. Good luck!

I had this problem for forever and did alot of research on it. Finally I came to a conclusion and did all that I found useful. Skip any steps you wish if you feel it isn't necessary to do those certain steps.
1. Fast travel to Door to Cyrodil and enter it. Save and reload game. Go back into Door to Shivering Isles. 2. Fast travel to New Sheoth Palace and wait however many house you wish (I waited 5) and that dude should show up running to you. 3. Go to stairs above meeting place and wait til 11:00pm. Wait until they meet up and walk up to the guard and do "Conspiracy" and have your dude torture her once. This should allow you to communicate with the torture dude if you couldn't before. 4. Make yourself notorious and have to wait til the next day. 5. Make the torturer dude wait at the top of the stairs that lead to "New Sheoth Palace" and go back to the meeting area and wait behind the boxes. -- Viola --

Well, if you want to be REALY sure and that nothing will go amiss, do following: BEFORE they meet (about an 11:00) you should go on the ledge above their meeting place and sit on the chair there. They didn't notice me when I did this quest, and I've done it about 6 times (always using the same method)...
P.S. Sometimes they don't talk if you are too close to the; I was using a "Invisibility" spell, so even if they couldn't see me, they heven't talked.
