Introduction

Welcome to the Eredivisie ML Challenge. I originally thought up the concept as a joke, put after receiving plenty of positive feed-back, I realised it would be worth doing it for real. With (a lot of) help from Leon, it became clear that the concept could really be developed. Hopefully we'll get a large number of entrants so this concept of challenge could be repeated in the future.


Game Settings

Match Time = 10 Minutes
Game Level = Top Player
Master League Level = Very Hard
Master League Starting Points = 7500
Player Development = Yes
Transfer Frequency = Normal

All other settings are optional.


Rules

For the mean time, a maximum of two people guiding each team.

With this competition based on trust, I don't expect players to tamper with player stats extensively ('Perfect Players', etc.). It ruins the point of the challenge.

Stick to the guidelines set by the League and Game Settings.

If a default squad player exceeds your chosen team's individual player salary limit, you will be allowed to keep that player until you decide to sell him on.

One player can be brought into your squad that can exceed your clubs salary limit by 150PES. This player is seen as the key player in your team, and you'd be wise to build you squad around this player.

During the mid-season transfer window, you can only sign 2 new players maximum and sell/release only 2 players maximum. During the end-of-season transfer window, you can sign only 4 new players maximum and sell/release only 4 players maximum.

Park Chu-Young is banned from all competitions.

Classic players are banned from all competitions.

League A
Division 2 = <YOU> + 7 remaining Dutch Teams.

Division 1 = Ajax, AZ, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille, Rosenborg BK, Bayern München, Club Brugge, RSC Anderlecht + 6 remaining Dutch teams.

League B
English Premiership including Celtic and Rangers.

League C
Serie A including Juventus
League D
La Liga including Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon.


Objective

Win as much as you can in as little time as possible. Points will be given depending on what you've won, and a league table for the competitors will be complied.

ADO Den Haag

'Key Player' Salary: 695
Team Bio: Postma is a reliable goalkeeper that should save you from some sticky situation. Experienced striker Mols should be a decent goal scoring outlet. Lack any sort of real defensive steel. A relatively young squad with space for improvement in all departments.









SBV Excelsior

Team Salary: 540
'Key Player' Salary: 690
Team Bio: A young team that is strong down the wings, but lack cohesion. Make good use of you wingers' pace and passing abilities, especially Slory's. A strong CB partnership is installed through Van Nieuwstadt and De Haan. Lack of a real GK hinders the Excelsior defence.








FC Groningen

Team Salary: 503
'Key Player' Salary: 653
Team Bio: With a combination of Lovre/Lindgren/Seedorf at your disposal, CMF positions shouldn't come as a problem. Strong forward options are available, with Luis Suarez potentially developing into a real threat. Two goalkeepers of similar ability finish off this decent-all-round squad.









SC Heerenveen

Team Salary: 507
'Key Player' Salary: 657
Team Bio: Free kicks shouldn't come as a problem with Ugur Yildirim in the squad. With Bosvelt coming of age, DMF cover is a top priority. Overall, a good squad in all areas.









Heracles Almelo

Team Salary: 537
'Key Player' Salary: 687
Team Bio: A well balanced squad in terms of numbers. Quansah and Tanghe act as the building blocks for your midfield. Hocher is well equipped for use down either wing. The team lacks a real goal-poacher though and are relatively weak in the air when going forward.









NAC Breda

Team Salary: 516
'Key Player' Salary: 666
Team Bio: A quick team. Leonardo and Sikera are the team's main threats, so be sure to use them effectively. The team has a solid CMF, but the squad lacks long-term GK and SB cover.









NEC Nijmegen

Team Salary: 525
'Key Player' Salary: 675
Team Bio: The team posses a good short-passing game. This allows Boutahar and Barreto to link up easily with your strikers. Denneboom is a very physical forward, and another CF/WF could be on the cards to partner him upfront. Remember to keep tabs on Bakker, he develops into a well-rounded CB.









RKC Waalwijk

Team Salary: 567
'Key Player' Salary: 717
Team Bio: RKC has some interesting players, namely Wevers (GK) and Ikedia (WF, though you'll need to create him first). Wevers is the tallest goalkeeper on the game and Ikedia has a top speed of 95. They are in dire need of some good new signings, do you think you can help them find the right players?









Roda JC

Team Salary: 525
'Key Player' Salary: 675
Team Bio: Roda JC is a team that has a good talent, a CF named Cissé. Hold on to him a few years and you'll be having a very good and speedy striker. The rest of the team is not much to write home about but, they are pretty reasonable overall.









Sparta Rotterdam

Team Salary: 553
'Key Player' Salary: 703
Team Bio: Sparta is a small team with one or two good players. Their best player would be Haris Medunjanin, an AMF with tremendous potential (as long as you use Leon's stat update). They also have a good keeper named Terol (you may need to register him to Sparta first from Utrecht) and a young CF named Emnes who could turn out alright.








FC Twente

Team Salary: 525
'Key Player' Salary: 675
Team Bio: Twente have a pretty good team, Engelaar(AMF) and N'Kufo(CF) being their key players. Engelaar is very good at dividing play and N'Kufo is a very good finisher. The rest of the team isn't great but they have some good talent on the bench (El Ahmadi and Bakkal).








FC Utrecht

Team Salary: 505
'Key Player' Salary: 655
Team Bio: FC Utrecht has a very good young AMF named Kruijs, the only problem is that it will take some time before he really gets good. Their defence is pretty solid and their strikers aren't bad. Overall a pretty good team.








Vitesse

Team Salary: 528
'Key Player' Salary: 678
Team Bio: Vitesse have a pretty solid squad. Thy have a very good player in the name of Theo Janssen and a good striker named Danko Lazovic. Unfortunately the rest of the team isn't very good, but they are good enough to make Vitesse an average team.









Willem II

Team Salary: 572
'Key Player' Salary: 722
Team Bio: Willem II has some interesting players in Redan (CF), Bobson (WF), Van der Struijk (CB) and Nieuwendaal (CMF). Van der Struijk and Nieuwendaal get pretty good in a few years time and Bobson and Redan are pretty good from the start. The rest of the team isn't very interesting, so you will need to bring in some interesting players that will really add some flair to your team.
