GBA Game List
Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand (*bleep*ing awesome game)
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (the NA commercial for it was so cash...)
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Final Fantasy V Advance
Final Fanatsy VI Advance (this was a very memorable title)
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (I had loads of fun with this game)
Golden Sun
Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age
Mega Man Battle Network 2
Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue/White
Mega Man Zero 3 (this one had Omega in it~)
Mega Man Zero 4

Personally speaking, I would have to say one of my all time favorite games is Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand. Not only was it a totally badass vampire hunting game (before Twilight...) but it got you outside and a decent dose of Vitamin D (aka the Solar Sensor on the back). This game made me love Vampire Slayers (aka Castlevania games). You LITERALLY hold the power of the sun in your hand. I've heard the second installment, Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django was pretty good, giving way more features than the old one did (and it does, as I have played it) but.... you just don't get that real down-to-Boktai feel that you get if you play Boktai 1. And I wouldn't trade that feeling for anything...unless maybe for a real Solar Gun~

...And speaking of Castlvania games, you have three to choose from: Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow. Be the bright one and get AoS. The other two were awesome, each succeeding the other, but AoS beats them both hands down. Basically, you kill enemies and get to use their powers and stuff. Nuff' said.

I did have a good amount of fun with Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls. That game got me freaking hooked on old school FF and since then I have enjoyed the portable versions of the early FF games so much. However, be ready to level/skill grind in those games. You'll eventually get to where battle are much easier, but the random battles can get tedious. Fear noit, as these two games in one feature respective extras. FFI has the Soul of Choas extra dungeons/bosses and FFII has the Soul of Rebirth telling the story of four fallen heroes that... well I won't spoil anything for you. I would recommend FF IV-VI Advance as well. They're good remakes and/or ports and worth the money invested in them. Good choices would be IV or VI. V was a little bland but it had the massive job system which was totally awesome. ^^

And if you want a good strategy game (and this is coming from a guy who doesn'tnoramlly like that genre), get Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I have yet to play the original Tactics game for the PS, but it's overall a great game giving you loads of stuff to do. You can get some cool classes for your character and you also can master abilities and use those on a character who is using a different class (other than the on it used to master those abilities). Awesome sauce.

The Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age games were pretty awesome too. They both featured graphics that pushed the GBA to its limits and had an awesome story and battle system. Personally, I prefer GS2 to the first one, because you seem to have a better memorable cast (and strong motherfreaking final boss) and that you get to play as Felix. And everyone knows Felix is much better than Isaac (yeah Isaac fangirls, bite me).

Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Battles was amazing for me at first but got a little dull after a time. Was one of the best DBZ games on the GBA along with DBZ: Legacy of Goku II. Game was cash. I LOVED LoG2 to death. the third LoG just became so overpowered later on, but 2 let you pump things up fairly in terms of leveling, and with a more rewarding plot and cast.

Mega Man Battle Network series had a decent couple of games out of them all I liked. For me, it boils down to MMBN 2 or 3. Now 5 was good, but those two stuck with me more. If I had to recommend one of them to you, it would have to be 3. And get the Blue Version. It might be a TAD harder than White, but it's more rewarding and plus you can get the almighty chip, Folderbak. And everyone loves Folderbak.

Lastly, I would have to recommend the Mega Man Zero series. Give them a shot, as they bring back classic Mega Man gaming with a touch of the X series' style. The artwork is fantastic (I myself own the Complete Works for this series) and... well it's about Zero. X had his time, now Zero gets the glory. But really... I liked 3 or 4 better than the others. 3 because you could get so cheap in that game with body upgrades and 4 because the game seemed more polished in certain areas (eg. gameeplay/control).

It would be almost impossible to tell you all if the really good titles out there on the GBA (well... a long time anyways) but I know that IGN here has a neat list of good GBA games. It helped me when I was looking for some great GBA games like you are.

Also, trust Craig Harris. He knows his stuff and is a respectable guy.

It's got to be The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, it's such a charming and rewarding game. The GBA has a great libary though.
