Yes, the old thread hit 25 pages and, with the absence of a mod, rather than just keep going there I decided to make a new one. A link to the old thread will appear shortly, I'm sure. And it did.
Making Money will be out not long from now, but I'm not sure of the exact date. It features the further adventures of Moist von Lipwig (a v, not a w), Postmaster General and now boss of the Ankh-Morpork Mint.
Also, discuss they other thirty-odd books in the canon.

Snuff!
Just as dark as I've come to expect of a Watch book, even though this one is pretty much just about Vimes and his family. Also, absolutely heartbreaking in places.

But on no account should you ever mention Mr Floppy.

Richard Coyle? I loved him in coupling and he'll make a great Moist the conman.
Right. Apparently Sky are making another adaptation of another of Sir Pterry's novels. I can only imagine that Manuel is going to play Groat, because this is the first I've heard about it.
Another adaptation that I'll not be able to watch.
Moist is apparently Jeff from Coupling.

Sure Discworld books are popular. They're popular because they are good, not because of advertisements everywhere, or because the publisher has been touting this book as the greatest thing since Sir Pterry's last book, or because they have seventy million screaming fans. Discworld fans are more thoughtful, and tend to keep things like that to themselves and have the odd quiet chuckle. The only adverts I have ever seen for Discworld books are the ones from WH Smiths when they're having a sale. No multi-page spreads in the newspapers, no ads on buses or trains, no hollywood movies directed by Ron Howard.
It is a good book, but lacks the flow of the middler books. Which is to say... not the early ones, but the ones where everything had pretty much settled down.

Yeah, that's pathetic. Like it again.

I seem to have lost all my interest in these for some reason. I have suspicion that it might be because I found out how popular they are, I find that to be rather pathetic.

Waiting for my library copy, I've only flicked through the first few pages.
