Couple things I forgot to mention: each skeleton respawns three times from each location
Also a good way to set up gambits for this is this:
Self: status=blind --- blinda
Self: status =poison --- poisona
Foe: status= HP critical --- attack
Self: HP < 30% --- curaja (cures more w/ bubble)
Self --- haste
Self --- bravery
Self --- bubble
Self --- faith
Foe: lowest HP --- attack
Self: HP < 70% --- curaga
Self --- Libra

The best place for me to level up was in the Nabreus deadlands. There's a secret area off the map in the northwest corner of the slumbermead area behind some grass that takes you to the overlooking eternity area. There there is an almost endless supply of skeletons and depending on how many characters you have out you net 2k-5k per kill and that doubles with the embroidered tippet. I have just one person out with Excalibur which is just a one hit kill because it has the holy element on it. You level up like very 20-30 kills and get PLENTY of loot if you chain it right
By that I mean once you've spent all the skeletons in the area TURN OFF YOUR GAMBITS AND RUN to the save crystal DO NOT TOUCH IT AS IT WIPES OUT YOUR CHAIN and run back. DO NOT ATTACK ANYTHING. Once you get back everything will respawn. I recommend being around level 60 of you're going to do it one character at a time but it can be done earlier in parties.
I got a chain of 675 before I got bored and just stopped leveling
Got all my characters up from levels 60-63 up to 75 in close to 4 hours and made lots of Gil

I'm kind of surprised no one mentioned the Negalmuur never ending lvling chain. I had that going on overnight when I was asleep and woke up to my guys at lvl 65. Thats a good easy way to lvl up and you dont have to do anything but set-up the gambits and wait 30 minutes before you kill the horse. Great for lvling up while you sleep. Also give a lot of LP especially with Golden Armlet and exp with embroidered tippet

i like going to the Cerobbi Steppe with 99 phoenix downs and a NIPHOLABIA(SPELL CHECK)give everyone Embroided Tippets and see if you can pik up a couple of Megalixirs along the way or maybe even a Ribbon.

THE best place would be the Henne mines after u open up the hidden section. Its like the equivalent of FFVIII islands closest to heaven and hell. But it must be said that levels don't really mean much in this game

Golmore jungle is good if you're up to that place. The enemies are easy enough and they give about 300-500 exp, but watch out for hell hounds(avoid them. Also, if have the right gambit setup for Henne Mines, you can level up to 99. If you are early into the game, Westersand is a good place, and so is taking down the two werewolves in the Giza Plains. In general, exploring areas and completing maps helps you to level up depending on the area and your level.
