EDIT: Even with all the overclocking on my old school G80 8800GTS 320MB (620mhz core/2000mhz mem from like 513/1800), I can't touch 12k points. But in 3DMark05, I can hit 17k. These cards sure can take a lot of overclocking. I've overclocked so much I'm afraid to go higher, and I've had no problems/artifacting yet, either.

I know I can break 13k in 3DMark06 if I use Omega drivers, overclock some more, and put a higher OC on my 8800GTS.
Just wait til I tweak my HD4870 system in.

Nevermind. On the stock Nvidia drivers, with my e6320 @ 2.9ghz (Yes, plan to go to 3.2ghz), I now score 11449 3DMarkpoints. That's a big jump from 9316 with only a CPU overclock.

At high image quality on my Nvidia drivers, my old school 8800GTS 320MB just scored 9316 on 3DMark06. That's with my e6320 system.
I'll do the HD4870/e6420 @ 3.0ghz system later. I'm not posting pics, don't feel like it, and I'm trustworthy enough.
Although, if your 8800GT systems beat my HD4870 system... I know something fishy is going on. I know the 8800GTS G80 core is old school to the 8800GT/GTS 256/512MB G92 cores. So, maybe they do that much better in 3DMark06. But I do know a G92 is nothing to an HD4870. I'm curious on the scores of it, don't remember what they were. I'll report back later.

I'll have some scores up for 05 and 06 on my rigs in the next day or two, if not tonight. Curious to see how my old school little e6420 and e6320's do against your big boy stock clocked 3.0ghz CPU's, lol. I got an HD4870 in one of them, so be ready :-P
