Just post your favorite civilization and why you like it. I like the Britons myself, fully upgraded and in swarms, their longbowmen can kill anything from afar:)

Yeah the Britons are soooooo good on random map and they would definitely be my favourite civ but I myself love to play with lots of siege and the Britons aren't good enough for me in that area but I played an online regicide game the other day and I dominated due to their awesome range, seriously you set the lonbowmen to stand ground and surround the enemy buildings with a couple picking off the few troops they can muster and you own. They also have that great shepherd bonus which makes five shepherds the equivalent to six so u can get one extra villager on wood early on! The goths used to be one of my favourite civs as my friend couldn't beat me on DM but then he play as the Byzantines and trampled me to death and the goths suck on RM due to their lack of any defensive building, so the goths are now down low on my list of favourites with the Vikings and the franks (not a good place to be) and the Mongols don't seem as good as I thought they once were and now the Chinese and mayans are two of my favourites (fetish for archers I see) because if you mass cho ko nu they are nearly as awesome as longbows and plumed archers aren't that good but you get cheap regular archers which are great for flushing. For some reason I have never played as the Koreans or the Japanese but a lot of my friends think they're the best along with the Byzantines.

I LOVE the British. I have always been a defensive and a slow attacker. I love the crazy range on the Long bowmen. I get 35-37 then fill the rest of the slots with monks, so if the archers do get touched, they are healed right away, I can fend off armies with my bases. I have always been a great defensive player. I can build the perfect wall/computer bait traps ;D. I do not play much online, so I am sure most of my attack styles/defense styles would become futile, but for versing multiple computer (usually 2 or 3 vs 4 or 5). I Play on hard mainly with feudal-castle age. I hate the imperial age for some reason .
I like the Huns and the Mayans a lot. The Huns for their not needing houses, and the Mayans for their archers, cheap walls, and their eagle warriors are pro..

Best 4v4 team IMO is the goths for rush, insane infantry and fast team barracks, Britons for good archers and fast team ranges, the Huns for rush and fast team stables and either the Spanish for trading and for late game owning or the celts for speed and siege ( I'de probably prefer the Spanish). On water the Koreans subbing for any one of them.

Yeah i love having the Spanish as a team mate because they provide great support and trading but I have never really been comfortable playing as them and they're not very good rushers.

I dont know what age of empires your talking about but if its the conquers then i choose Spanish since the out rule ever civilization in technology and they are great defensive units. Plus good strategy works to destroy other groups very well. The kings version won me the Chinese because thier elite units destroy the Britons easily and many others. 10 elite units Chinese beat 30 Briton elite.

There are loads of YouTube tutorials on how to get a good start and stuff and if that is how many uu's you are giving then I would do combos like the mangudai + ram combo or something similar Jack'em

On post imp death match the goths are UNSTOPPABLE because they can pump out sooooo many huskarls from the barracks and you also own on random maps against archer civs like the Mayans or Britons because of the huskarl starting with 6 pierce armour they also have +10 pop which is a bonus. Teamed with the Spanish for trading and a good cav civ you have an EPIC team on Arabia or something similar. On normal random map I like to play as the Mongols because they get a good early start with their hunting bonus and their mangudais are good and their seige are the best ( bar the celts ).
