quoteThis sounds like the stupidest thing ever.CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler has now confirmed for TVLine that Season 9′s entire run will, in fact, span the wedding weekend and just the wedding weekend, as the comedy details “how each character, before Ted, meets the mother. So, they each meet her independently before he does.”
quote The Living AngelusThe mother may not be what I expected, but I'd say she's attractive. Also I find it quite funny that there are people who still thought the mother would be Robin. The only thing as stupid as those complaining already about Season 9 are those who hit up Twitter and blogs after Monday night to bitch about the Mother and how she's not "Super model hot" (really people; shallow much?) and how they're disappointed it's not Robin. Are these people seriously that *bleep*ing stupid? That after 8 seasons of them saying in the show, after the very first episode even, that the mother isn't Robin, they're still hoping it'll be Robin.
quote The Living AngelusI've made it into an art form.even though you're pro at bitching about frivolous things

quote Kaiba*hits the like-button*It's stupid because they're going to stretch 56 hours out into 22(?) episodes.
It's stupid because people want to see their relationship start and develop.
It's stupid because people are going to get sick of all "almost the wedding" all the time.
It's stupid because an entire season of pre-wedding preparation (especially the previous 2 and a half days) is going to get real annoying, real fast.
It's stupid because after 8 years of buildup, people want to see Ted and the Mother together.
It's stupid because it's going to be an entire season of teasing.
I could go on and on. Yes, they could have flashbacks and flashforwards galore, but that kinda goes against the whole "span the wedding weekend and just the wedding weekend" thing. For this statement to actually be true, the bulk of the season will have to be not flashbacks, and if that's the case, then we're going to get real sick of all wedding prep all the time, like I said before. If they really are going to show us a lot of Ted and the Mother time via flashforwards, then this is stupid because it would be much better done not all shoved into a 56 hour span.
I also find it hard to believe that Future Ted would start jumping forward in time with his story, because telling anything at all about what happened after he met the mother is not a story of how he met her. Sure, there is quite a bit throughout the series that's not actually part of the story of how he met her, but it's accepted because it at least happens before he met her. Things that happened before could actually be a part of the story, while things that happen after are in no way part of the story.
Giving us maybe 2 wedding episodes and then the rest of the season be dating and then finally a proposal would be a very good idea. But that's not part of the story of how he met her? Well gee, maybe stick in a scene with the kids being all "After all of that buildup, we have to hear a bit of how you two started dating" and Future Ted is like "If you insist" and then continues the story up until their wedding.
I know you love contradicting me, but give me a break. This is stupid and you know it. If given a choice, there's no way in hell you would say "PLEASE GIVE US 22 EPISODES THAT COVER A 56 HOUR PERIOD".
