Living up here in Canada, you find that we have a set amount of myths and legends about certain spots in our country. There's belief that we have Yeti wondering around the Northern Nation, for example. I was wondering if there is any famous legends or myths made in Latin American anywhere?

Compare the silohuette to the picture below, and the similarities will be remarkable.

Since it's always a good habit to quote sources - from here.

Well, you could try typing in the Spanish name for it into the search engine. It fetched me this.

Source.

The head is on the right. What looks to be his back is in the middle and a set of curled legs to the left. A good silohuette of a giant man sleeping.
I can't see it

Lol, it's ok dude.

That place is so "cool" in it's own way. Apart from "civilization"(spl). You can walk the town in about, 10 minutes. And it has some really old buildings, or atleast they look like it, 1800s. And a museum which has an old spanish bayonet and other items. Really cool place.

El Gigante Dormido(The Sleeping Giant)
It's a long mountain than when you look at it from a certain angle(spl) it looks like a giant sleeping in the floor.

Where's the other one? I don't remember seeing it when I ran my search. I take it the other one is in Chile or Peru?
