See what I did there? The old one became a bit long so a sequel has been published.

Hiya,
I'm IA and I was lured here by Mouldy Cheese's shameless advertising but I like it so I guess I'll stick around and spam you about all the books I read.
There's not really an RFS lying around here, so I thought I'd just use this thread in lieu! Anyway, I was sort of toying with the idea of starting a reading journal here in the forum to document what I'm currently reading and thoughts on the books that I've finished lately. I just wanted to know if you guys think this is an awful idea and I should just use my blog instead or er...the opposite of that. My hope is that it might help generate some more activity in the forum if people start doing something similar! Plus it combines my love of writing stuff down and reading.
I'd love to see some more crossover between the creative writing and this forum. Writers tend to be avid readers too, just need to get the ball rolling over here a little :>
I'm open to suggestions.
WELL I CAN'T THINK OF ANY. I'm trying though...I swear :< I'm really quite passionate about reading and writing and dang it, these two forums should be walking hand in hand! I just can't think of a way to do that =/

Shadow of Truth
I'd try to participate but most of what I read nowadays is in the Creative Writing forum. I don't have a whole lot of time for all of the books scattered across my house.

Well there is the currently reading thread, blogs, and journals can be written in the Creative Writing forum. If there is something different about this idea than what is already going on in those, I don't see why not.
Nothing different in concept, just in a different forum! The "currently reading" thread is good, but I'd really rather be able to go into a bit more detail as I'm reading through the books. Haha, no, not at the moment. I was going to start a thread in here to sort of document the books I'm reading at the moment but wanted to run it by the other regular forum users first to make sure it doesn't sound toooooo self-involved ^^
