It'll work. The Hyperhreading support is for all Pentium 4 processors. It may lack some features support, such as the 64bit, but it'll work.

im no intel guru, but i would think that if it supports it but the chip doesnt have it then no big deal. If the chip does have it, it will support it though. Its the same socket so im 99.9% sure it will work.

Heya... I've built a few cpu's in the past but i'm new to the dual core processors so i'm lookin for some advice. I'm wanting to purchase a Pent D 830. I've noticed that the Pent D 830 doesn't support Hyper Threading Technology, and instead supports 64bit technology. The processor requires an LGA775 socket. So, my question is... Will this processor work in a mother board w/an LGA 775 socket that has Hyper Threading support rather than 64bit? I'm wanting to use an ABIT AS8-V. I've found these two componets sold together, but the whole Hyper Threading/64 support ordeal has got my head spinnin in circles Any info on this would be greatly appriciated...i'm so ready to w/ the times Thanks in advance, Pearhead http://db.etree.org/Pearhead
