I named mine Zippy. It was my little brother's suggestion.

1st file: red one named either Reshi, Roshi, or Yoshi 2nd file: black one named SFEDoT (because he was going to be used to make a Southern Fried Egg Dog of Tastiness) 3rd file: green one named either FriedEgg or Hot Dog (again, his previous food status) 4th file: pink one with a mean-ish name like an idiot, Jerkface, Baka, etc. to be funny, so for example "little Baka is in Glitzville fighting!" or "an idiot has joined your party!"
Much more recently on new memory card, a black one named Santiago, so Gonzales and Santiago can tear it up and burn it down.

I named mine Yoshi. It is best to go for the originals. I had a green red yoshi, and we never lost a match. Not even in the Pit of 100 Trials.

On my first file (when I didn't know how to name something) I put in a bunch of random letters and they read ffjottthy (ef-jotty) My second file I named him Yoshi.
